About the flag of Lithuania
What it means: Yellow means sun and prosperity. Green means forests, countryside, liberty and hope. Red honors the courage and sacrifice of people who died for Lithuania.
Did you know? In 1917 delegates found a red and green design too gloomy. A narrow yellow strip, like a rising sun, was proposed between them.
