About the flag of Malaysia
What it means: The 14 stripes stand for the equal status of the member states and federal territories, and the star's points for their unity. The crescent represents Islam, and yellow is the royal color.
Did you know? Singapore left the federation in 1965, but the flag still kept its 14 stripes and 14-pointed star.
