Hanukkah coloring pages

About these hanukkah pages

Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, lasts eight nights, and these pages celebrate its best-known symbols. The Hanukkah menorah holds nine candles: one for each night, plus the shamash, the helper candle used to light the others, which usually stands taller or apart from the rest. The dreidel is a four-sided spinning top marked with four Hebrew letters (nun, gimel, hei and shin), used in a traditional game.

The easy pages (a menorah and three dreidels) have bold lines for ages 3 to 6. The medium pages show a family lighting the menorah, a holiday table with latkes, doughnuts and chocolate gelt, and a Star of David. The detailed menorah is for older kids and adults.

Blue and white are the traditional Hanukkah colors, with gold or yellow for the candle flames. A nice idea for families: color one candle flame each night of the holiday until the whole menorah is lit.
