About the flag of Eritrea
What it means: Green stands for farming and livestock, blue for the riches of the sea, and red for blood shed in the independence struggle. The wreath's 30 leaves mark thirty years of that struggle.
Did you know? The wreath around the olive branch has exactly 30 leaves, one for each year of Eritrea's fight for independence.
