About the flag of South Sudan
What it means: Black stands for the people, red for blood shed for independence, and green for the land and its wealth. White is peace, blue the waters of the Nile, and yellow unity and hope.
Did you know? Since 2023 the country has asked printers to use a light blue triangle and an upright star, because darker and tilted versions were common.
