Turkmenistan flag coloring page
Turkmenistan's flag is green with a red vertical stripe near the pole. The stripe holds five detailed carpet designs, called guls, above two crossed olive branches. A white crescent and five white stars sit beside the stripe. It was introduced in 1992, and a 2:3 version came in 2001.

About the flag of Turkmenistan
What it means: Each of the five carpet guls stands for one of the main Turkmen tribes. No official meaning exists for the colors, crescent or stars, though the stars are often linked to the five provinces.
Did you know? Reading down the red stripe, the carpet patterns belong to the Teke, Yomut, Saryk, Chowdur and Ersari tribes, in their traditional order.
