Senegal flag coloring page
Three vertical bands of green, yellow and red make up Senegal's flag, with a green five-pointed star in the centre. It took over from the Mali Federation's flag in 1960, the year Senegal became independent. Like earlier designs, it draws on the French tricolour.

About the flag of Senegal
What it means: Green holds meaning for Muslims, Christians and followers of traditional religions alike. Yellow stands for wealth, work and the arts, and red for life, sacrifice and the fight against underdevelopment.
Did you know? The government links yellow to the arts and literature, partly because literature teachers in Senegal were known for wearing yellow blouses.
