About the flag of Australia
What it means: The Union Jack recalls British settlement. Six points of the Commonwealth Star stand for the six states, and the seventh for the territories. The Southern Cross has long represented Australia.
Did you know? The big star originally had six points; a seventh point was added in 1908 to represent the territories.
